Who's Who? in See It Saw It
The King The KING (Mark Speight) is a handsome, energetic and well-meaning ruler but, alas, he inherited the Kingdom at a very early age and is rather inexperienced. He finds it very difficult to make up his own mind and needs the help of his courtiers, you the viewers, to come up with the right decisions. So that is why you have to put your thinking caps on to help him find the four-letter word. Apart from that, all sorts of little misfortunes befall him from week to week. One week he can't get to sleep, another he's feeling a little poorly, and on another occasion his ugly old aunt Griselda comes to visit. But the King always comes up smiling in the end.
See SEE (Kate Crossley) is a young, enthusiastic and bouncy jester. She is new to the job of jestering but is very keen to learn. Unfortunately sometimes she is a bit cheeky and that can get her into trouble. If you see the stories that See shows us you will be sure to know the answers to the questions that SAW asks.
Saw SAW (Philip Fox) has been jestering for years and takes the job of jestering very seriously. He is sometimes a bit grumpy, having to come up with different jokes all the time, and if it were not for his job he might never laugh. Saw was jester to the King's father, so he is very professional and firmly believes that the whole kingdom would fall around the King's ears if it were not for him. But he is an old softy really. Saw always sets the questions about the stories that See shows.
Lord High Chamberlain The LORD HIGH CHAMBERLAIN (Sylvester McCoy) has been around in the King's service an awfully long time -- nobody really knows how long -- but as he is always covered in cobwebs he must have been there for ages. It is his important job to know everything and he probably once did but he is so ancient he has forgotten it all, and even forgotten how old he is. Now all he seems to know is how to go to sleep and spends most of his time snoozing in his hammock.
There are many other characters in the Kingdom of Much Jollity on-the-Mirth who keep popping up in the comedy sketches each week. The various players are Julia Binstead, Vincent Brimble, Vicky Licorish, Paul Shearer and Richard Turner as well as Mark, Philip, Natasha and Sylvester. Look out for them all, they are sure to make you laugh.
